THE STRUGGLE OF HAVING ADHD

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW: Designing and illustrating a (04)-grid artwork that tells of an impactful story of yours from any of the following options: Sad Memory / Happy Memory / Favourite Memory etc. without the use of any text. The visual itself should tell the story, in the format of a 4-grid square, with each artwork inside one of the grids, to tell the sequence of the story.

For this project, I wanted to focus on ADHD and what it's like in my brain. Ever since I can remember, I have always struggled in school academically whether it was because of my Dyslexia, having [undiagnosed] ADHD, general struggle to focus on class on assignments, etc. I decided to focus this particular project on myself and to poke fun at and to embrace the struggles I have had to endure to get where I am today. I really liked this project overall as it really pushed me to my creative limit and really had me brainstorming what kind of future projects I wanted to tackle in the future. I want to give a huge shoutout to my professor, Rafik El Hariri, for helping nurture my creative side and get me out of my "safe zone" so-to-speak. I've learned a lot from him in my last quarter at SCAD and I plan on continuing to learn from creatives like him as well as other cool people too.
