LEAGUE OF LEGENDS

SYNOPSIS: "Arcane" is an adult animated steampunk action-adventure television series created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee. It was produced by the French animation studio Fortiche under the supervision of Riot Games, and distributed by Netflix. Set in Riot's "League of Legends" universe, it primarily focuses on Jinx and Vi. The series was announced at the "League of Legends" tenth (10th) anniversary celebration in 2019, and its first season was released between November 6 and 20, 2021. A second and final season was released between November 9 and 23, 2024.

Arcane was met with critical acclaim, with praise directed at its animation, visuals, story, writing, worldbuilding, action sequences, characters, emotional weight, soundtrack, and voice acting while its pacing had a mixed response. Some have noted the series' appeal both to viewers and who had never played "League of Legends" and to the longtime fans of the game. It also set the record as Netflix's highest-rated series at the time within a week of it's premiere, ranked first on the Netflix Top 10 Chart in 52 countries, and ranked second on the chart in the United States. Several critics and publications considered it one of the best video game adaptations ever made. In 2022, the series became the first streaming series to win a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Programme  and won a Annie Award for Best General Audience Animated Television Broadcast Production.

ASSIGNMENT OVERVIEW: Creating a series of graphic illustrated posters based off the Netflix Original TV Show "Arcane: League of Legends" showcasing each important character's statuses based on strength and weaknesses, the overall plot of the show, the one united relationship Zaun and Piltover that is now ripped in two regions.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:

 PILTOVER  - a city in the League of Legends universe that is a progressive and wealthy city.

• Piltover and Zaun are led by a council of powerful representatives

• Located on cliffs overlooking Zaun, with views of the ocean

• Huge sea-gates that allow ships to pass through and bring goods from around the world

• The centre of art, craftsmanship, trade and innovation

• Hub for craftsmen from around all over the globe

 ZAUN  - a large undercity district, lying deep in the canyons and valleys threading Piltover.

• Power is separated by organised crime gangs & other influential people

(NOTE: Silco, Vander, etc.)

• General quality of life is nothing compared to Piltover

• The denizen's becoming more resentful of their counterparts

• In a perpetual cold war with Piltover over rising class-tensions and politics

• Forever fighting the topsiders for independence to be their own city-state with a separate ruling council

  • (NOTE: "topsiders" is a nickname for the people of Piltover)
