In this album, we analyse Lamar's life experiences and past reflections during his therapy session. The concept behind "Mr. Morale and TBS" helps to provide and aid it's viewers perspective on an independent analysis and reflection of Lamar's life experiences during his therapy session. Throughout the album, Lamar revolves around personal themes regarding his CHILDHOOD and GENERATIONAL TRAUMA , SEXUAL ADDICTION and INFIDELITY TOWARDS HIS PARTNER , [Whitney] Alford, and THE STRUGGLES THAT COME WITH CELEBRITY WORSHIP and FAME .
Crown of Thorns [ EXPLAINED ]
A NOD TO ARTISTS WHO CAME BEFORE HIM : The crown is a way for Lamar to show respect to the artists who came before him.
A REPRESENTATION OF CHRIST : Lamar wears the crown of thorns as a physical embodiment his Christian faith and to represent one of the greatest prophets to ever walk the Earth.
(NOTE: the concept of Jesus seen as "one of the greatest prophets to ever walk the Earth" is according to Christian and Islamic theology, not including The Prophet Muhammed)
A METAPHOR FOR ARTISTIC PROWESS, HUMILITY, AND PERSEVERANCE : The crown is a metaphor for these qualities.
A REPRESENTATION OF HOOD PHILOSOPHIES : The crown is a godly representation of hood philosophies told from a youthful lens.
A REMINDER TO WALK IN THE IMAGE OF CHRIST : Lamar wears the crown as a reminder to walk in the image of Christ.
